The one that hit about 5 miles northeast of here has tremendous tree damage-that seems to be the trigger for people to assume it was a tornado

It's fine to assume that. As it was happening I definitely thought it could be one. But when AI and some fake site claim it was confirmed its total misinformation

This is a big heat signal, I notice that when TS moisture misses us to our east, we almost always get big heat (even as late as October.)

Looks nasty in that department over the next 10 days for sure--70+ dewpoints and heat

Seriously though the worst part of this different climate is the absurd levels the dewpoints reach now on a routine basis.

These 75°+ dewpoints have become the new normal for us over the last decade.

Just was in Aruba for a week, that was enough of that, lol

You should have been in Paris & Corsica with the heat wave over there.  Paris was oven last Monday & Tuesday with their version of A/C when I was there.  At least in Corsica you were able to cool off in the water.

Looks like this HRRR run was way overdone. We don't have the heavy storms across west-central NJ that this 12z HRRR run was showing for 2pm. HRRR has since backed off somewhat.

We do have some small downpours popping up here and there. I'm getting a little shower here right now.

My wife told me Aruba isn't as safe as it used to be.

Did you notice anything different and what area did you stay in?

Marriott Surf Club.  I didn't notice anything different and seemed as safe as usual.

Getting some rain with thunder now.  KDIX working again.

Argentina was the place to go recently to avoid all the record heat around the world.
