It's complex..... we are getting oscillations between 94 and 90 here, it hit 94 again at 1:12 pm here and then fell back down again to 90 again. The wind direction keeps changing. I’m a little surprised we didn’t cool down more since water temp at Jones Beach is only 65. the heat is too strong and overpowers the ocean. This is a very deep layer of heat. It's like in the winter when you have a deep layer of arctic air and the temperature doesn't rise much even when the flow switches onshore. Sundog Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Still holding around 95, the 12k NAM did well showing 96 for my area at 2PM. It doesn't kick in the seabreeze for my until between 5PM and 8PM, since at 5PM I am still at 94. But by 8PM I am in the mid 80s. Let's see how it does. Sundog Posted yesterday at 05:51 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:51 PM Euro with a major bust with 2PM temps across the metro area, GEMLAM too but not as much. 12k NAM doing well with mid to upper 90s reflecting reality.

I always look to see if there's another station next to the ones that are on the extreme ends to make sure they are reflecting reality. For example there is a station near me that is saying it's almost 102 right now, but every other station is between 94 and 97, so I toss it.

Most of the other stations around seem to be 95-97 though. Mine just got all messed up and popped to 103, lol, but I don't use that for temps since its on my roof.
