Sea breeze is officially here at jones beach. Was dead calm 45 minutes ago. Temps already coming down

Can see the seabreeze on radar, looks about to Merrick Rd. Long Beach temps look to be around 82. Wonder if they hit 90 first? Here it’s 92, hideous outside.

Hard to believe Philly hasn't hit 100 in almost 13 years

Only at the international airport which is locally cooler due to breezes off the widest part of the Delaware River.

Could this be the reason that sometimes JFK hits 100 and NYC doesn't when the wind is westerly and coming off the Hudson River?

79°F dew point at JFK and still 90 degrees. 78°F dew point here, the sea breeze isn't bringing any real comfort. Not with dew points near 80

The high at JFK so far has been 92 with a heat index of 107 with a southwesterly wind.

We just hit 92 here too.

Sometimes the sea breeze moves around like a rain/snow/mix line so the temperatures can still rise.

Looks to be making headway on radar, almost to the Southern State.

Interesting thing about the sea breeze front is sometimes it moves back south and moves around, especially before around 3 pm.  Temperatures are still rising here, although not as quickly as before.  Now 92 on a SW wind and HI of 107.

Some days too the LI sea breeze can hook up with the SI sea breeze off New York Bay and accelerate much faster across Queens to LGA.  It happens maybe 5 days a summer and no models pick it up, can cause LGA to turn south 3 hours faster than they otherwise would.

First time JFK ever had a 78° dewpoint in June.

Where did you see the high of 92 at JFK?
