Rather warm and a bit humid in the sun here.

Placing a compost, top soil mix into the garden this morning, to see if I get better results this year, both in crop yield,  but also to see if maybe tomato blight might be reduced by having new soil onto of the over wintering blight spores.

Well the dryness this winter and much of Spring kinda fucked me over. Skeeters are out and biting. Turns out the period where my wetland wasn't flooded but starting to get muddy and I 'dry' seeded it with larvicide, they were already breeding in the mud. Didn't rain enough to flood for another week so those tiny pellets sat there, ineffective until dissolved in water. Never a problem before because that area is usually flooded in late winter well before I put the larvicide in. I did hit it again when the area finally flooded week or so ago, so that plus the stuff already there should have halted the cycle, and hopefully the mosquitos that are out won't last long. I'll know 7-10 days lol.
