Yes, very nice trends, it really blossoms the precip out of the Gulf on this run and fills in the NW side of the precip shield.

The best thing about that is it’s not a northwest trend. It’s becoming a perfect low track. It’s just juicing up and cooling down so more of the forum gets snow. What a freaking look

Regardless of Mar, in the meantime some of the best climo of the winter is in the last half of Feb. We still have another 2 weeks before March. Granted, it isn’t normally as good when it is La Niña. El Niño has the best Feb climo as we know. However, the pattern is anything but Ninaish with the -5 AO about to hit along with a rising +PNA to a strong one (combo typically has lingering effects).

Will there be a NW trend like is common and occurred for the 1/10-11 storm? Or will there not be one like was the case for the 1/21-2 storm? We’ll see! So far there’s no indication of an impending NW trend, which may be partially related to the rare very strong -AO.

I wasn't talking about this storm in particular more so the period after it. I think eastern NC and tidewater VA have a good shot

I have a strong sense the 0z FAFO model will skew heavily towards the FA this far out and next week it will flip to the FO midweek.  Somehow we all love the FA but really struggle with the FO.  Its the board we live in.  :P

FI FA FO FUM I need snow let’s get me some.
