Next week looks like has mid atlantic written all over it.

Only thing better than a toaster is watching mid atlantic take SNE weenie's snow.

@40/70 Benchmark

But read my free $hit at blogspot. :clown:

Can't forecast for $hit but don't worry he'll be sure to tell you he's wrong. You can count on that. What a service.

he's a fucking hobbyist, not a pro-met, you pretentious douche.

hey, by the way, how did your long-term winter forecast work out?

These Popestradamus forecasts interest me because they're basically in my backyard.  Is this a case of cherry-picking a station to get the needed temps?

This station is running around 3 degrees warmer than everything else around it.   https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KNHPORTS24

I can't help but think it's being influenced by the Service Credit Union corporate office that sits right across the street.  It's literally a wall of glass facing that station.

No. It's a case of "I'm an imbecile and didn't look at surrounding obs."

Time well wasted.

But don't worry. You're in great company!

Still in clown range for the high-res meso models, but certainly an interesting look by 12z Wednesday:

Magnitude of the cold drain is for sure overdone, but it should be something to watch for.

Heaven forbid I say this, but on a system like this I'll be definitely checking out the NAM as we get closer

That is an interesting evolution though. When is the last time we had mild temps followed by the infusion of arctic air into a storm? That's like one of those Colonial tales of yore lol. Thou was enjoying the day prior to a bitter tempest following thy day after. Cattle blown away and Jebediah's house doth lost its roof.

February 9, 2017.  On the 8th we hit 63f.  The next day had near-blizzard conditions, with 12-18" statewide in CT with Tsnow.

What is it a week before you tell us all how you effed up January too?

Just quit guy. It's pathetic.

You're right...like everyone else, my seasonal stuff leaves much to be desired and is a work in progress. But at least not in the past several years, I have never had a short or medium range bust the magnitude of forecasting a whiff for New England and verifying feet of snow.
