BooneWX
Surface low has popped right along the gulf. It’s splitting hairs but it seems like it’s roughly 50-75 miles further south than the HRRR which is already the coldest

Met1985
Not to jump ahead but the 18z GFS once again is advertising anothet storm in about a week with and some clipper systems with some very bitter air over the next week or two. Looks like a very active pattern setting up. 6
1bert1
I lived on Beech Mountain from 2010 to 2012. We received over 150 inches of snow the winter of 2010-2011. Good luck mountaineers, lol. Peace!

BretWx
Nothing on radar, but a steady light snow here. YESSSS. LFG. Edit: probably one step below light. But still been flying.

WxJordan
40 in Morganton, NC. I cut down on my totals overall due to the warm nose for the final forecast. The gradient in western NC is going to be so sharp (2-4 inch difference over a couple of miles), it will be impossible to forecast). I really think it will occur somewhere around the Newton / Shelby / Statesville areas.

WxJordan
When I was in school at Asheville (UNC-A) studying meteorology, it literally did not snow any in 2011 and 2012 winters LOL. I graduated in Dec 2013 and, if my memory serves correctly, it began snowing again. The weather in Asheville is crazy, so it can do anything in that valley LOL. @Met1985 @calculus1 @BretWx

BooneWX
That stiff NE breeze is getting more and more noticeable. Up 8 mph here in Icard. 37/
BhamParker
3k NAM sure looked pretty. Had 12-18 for a lot of Transylvania County. 12km was around 8-10. I would be pleased with either of those results.

BhamParker
I'm gonna have to get my batteries charged for the early morning and into lunchtime snowfall. I will probably hit the sack here soon. Hope to wake up around daylight to several inches and heavy snow falling. Hope all of us have better results than we are expecting. Radar sure looks full of moisture.
