I'm in Greer it snowed here for about 20 to 30 mins then changed to sleet for another 20 mins or so.

Now nothing.

It  was supposed to get to 45 here today or high was 41.

The temp at 4 was 39/23....

Ignoring the early success in the foothills, I think ILMRoss said it earlier...something just feels off with this setup.  It doesnt have a normal CAD look and it certainly doesnt appear robust enough to sustain into tomorrow deep into NC.  I'm just not seeing a ton of ice with this tomorrow across the Triad.

RAH, too, doesn’t forecast much ice or snow for their portion of the Triad.  Might get a dusting followed by a light glaze at most.

Curious, still snowing?

Yes. Grill cover on back deck covered. Down to 37.  However looks like back end of band coming through Cleveland County unless it redevelops.  Still saw more flakes Thani thought I would.

Glad I came home hwy 176 instead of the interstate... lots of sirens headed that way, Saluda fire and rescue, bet this front end band was enough to create travel problems on the I26 grade

So it looks like the radar returns are nearly 100% accurate....no virga.  So a quick 1/2" looks quite likely with this initial finger.  Good stuff!
