* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, freezing rain.
  Additional ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch. For
  the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow
  accumulations of 6 to 10 inches with locally higher amounts
  possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Swain and Haywood Counties.

The euro took a huge step towards the GFS this morning.  Still not there with the cold air but it doesn't bury a trough in the SW which is a known bias. This mornings GFS just keeps hammering the coldest air of the season towards us in about 6 to 7 days. It actually moves the trough further east over us. That air mass would definitely give us lowes below zero and highs in the single digits. Impressive and something we have not seen in years.
