Nice tstorm, gusty winds gust up to about 35-40, maybe a gust to near 50, prolific lightening, knocked power out for a minute or two.  I rate a tad above average tstorm.  Low end Warning verified imho.

Tons of close lightning and so far 0.41” of rain in 15 minutes In a storm that just popped NW of Fredericksburg. Wind gusted to 45mph too.

ETA: Finished with 0.58" in about 20 minutes or so, pretty good storm, but nothing severe.

More thunder then rain.

Yep. Not much here, but at least the clouds helped cool things off and there was something to track.

Being in a spot that normally misses out on storms this evenings storm was a decent one my MBY standards. Sheets of rain w/ 40+ mph wind gusts at times.

Better than normal for MBY.

I mean, for most it did. We had a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and we had a couple of warnings I think, which all seemed rather weak.  Line actually looks like it is strongest right now crossing the bay.

:lmao:

Seriously?  A couple?  There were over 20 warnings issued by LWX.  The watch verified with numerous reports of damage across the LWX CWA from Hardy County in WV to Albermarle County in VA to Fauquier County in VA to Fairfax County in VA and more.

Oh, well I'm just looking at Baltimore-DC area. Obviously plenty of warnings if you start going way back into parts of Virginia outside immediate DC metro.

For this area, I thought the storm tonight was a good one.  Gusty winds, lots of T&L, torrential rain.  Just had the western tail of a storm that passed through Alexandria too.

I'm in Odenton/Crofton and got the most wind I've had in years. Large live branches down heavy tables flipped and unfortunately 13 foot umbrella ruined.

I am the probably the only forum member in Baltimore County that did not get a drop of rain or flash of lightning. Chestnut Ridge. This is day 2 of zip nada zilch zero. We did have a 6 mph gust so not all is lost. Talk about a snow hole jeez this is so much worse.

Going to go for the hat trick tomorrow.

Nice batch of storms to the northwest. Will likely miss mostly for 95 crew, but north and west people, and especially as you get into Southern PA, have had a quite active day. Southern PA has been the big winner past few days.

A lot of lightning, but only squeezed out 0.03" of rain down this way

That next batch building to the west over S MD should clip your area.
