Yea, trying to find a sky cam or traffic cam, but it looks good and I can hear thunder from work.

  EAST CENTRAL LOUDOUN COUNTY IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA...
  NORTHERN FAIRFAX COUNTY IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA...

* UNTIL 230 PM EDT.

* AT 148 PM EDT, SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
  EXTENDING FROM NEAR LEESBURG TO OATLANDS, MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

  HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS.

  SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.

  IMPACT...DAMAGING WINDS WILL CAUSE SOME TREES AND LARGE BRANCHES 
           TO FALL. THIS COULD INJURE THOSE OUTDOORS, AS WELL AS 
           DAMAGE HOMES AND VEHICLES. ROADWAYS MAY BECOME BLOCKED BY 
           DOWNED TREES. LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE. 
           UNSECURED LIGHT OBJECTS MAY BECOME PROJECTILES.

Some sun ahead of the line to the west...should at least make it the best thunderstorm of the storm, not saying much. On the bright side, while maybe still windy it looks like it’ll be quite nice from about 330-sunset

Decent amount of thunder at work.  Line looks like it's beefing up.

hearing lots of rumbles of thunder now. lot of activity north in PA from Hanover to York. @showmethesnow probably had a nice storm

Deep, rolling thunder at work in Gaithersburg.  Sky is pitch black to my west.

A lot of thunder is better than we normally get with the synaptic system squall lines..  Usually it's indistinguishable from a gardener accidentally hitting the window with the hose for 10 seconds.

Getting wires/trees down calls while the storm is rolling through which is a tad unusual.  Typically they lag about 30 min after the event.
