How much snow down to the Connecticut coast?

Is this for real?

Pretty good chance it is for real. A bit early for amounts though. Doesn't look like a monster storm, but def several inches could fall there.

What about the kids in the west..will they see accumulating snow on xmas?

Probably....but again, 24 hour increments make it hard to discern exact details on the models. It had lower pressure extending back into SE NH/E MA/S ME so it suggests that there would be enhancement there later in the event...basically an inverted trough enhancing or prolonging the synoptic snow...so I mentioned that's where it looked like the most would fall on that run. The GEM showed something somewhat similar and it gave your area at least advisory snows.
