we just finished up disk g up at Buffum dam and the mouths were almost biblical.

Are those gypsy's ? ...like the one's you guys have been talking about.  Man, there were thousands of them in every direction along the wood-lines. We surmised they might be gyps because the trees over the other side of the lake had that denuded look to them (eaten).

also, the setting was like a tropical rain forest.  humid and warm and sultry with sweat rollin' amid the occasional hum of insects ...  It's a cool pattern summer, with probably closer to normal temperatures, but above normal DPs.

Yup. They will be a big problem in your area next spring. That's what we had last year. Moths everywhere

Off to the Vineyard. Beautiful morning.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I had no idea Martha's Vineyard wasn't flat as a pancake. Your photo made me look up other photos, and now I kind of want to go there.  Had no idea there were some pretty impressive cliffs out there.

It's a beautiful Island. My wife has family here so we are visiting for a couple of days.

Take a trip 15 minutes south to the West Thompson Dam Disk course and trees will be bare all around.
