.07 LE last hour. They seem to be reporting freezing fog but nothing regarding snow.

Over 2" liquid now for the storm.

Band is making its way into eastern Nassau County. I can't even imagine what the region will look like in the morning. My brother missed Sandy in Buffalo (he's kind of a weather nerd but nothing like me-although the weather nerd in me was happy to be a part of it, the devastation I saw was horrendous), I guess it was my turn to miss something epic.

Hmm, ratios must be increasing now given the echos over NYC, or the snow hasn't been that heavy there. Or the liquid measurement is off because of the wind.

Someone will F up the CP report. They should easily be at 24" for 7pm report. If they're not, something is not right.

My mother in BDR is reporting 12.25"

Fairfield the town just west of BDR reported 11.0 at 3:30. Curious to seewhat they have now. Still snowing.

The CCB could be overhead for several more hours at 1 to 2 inches per hour. I think we do break 30 inches.

They are in the same band LGA and JFK are in and both have been reporting 2"-3" SN+ for hours.

And I personally am in the band and it's very heavy snow.

About 12in in Westport so I would be surprised if Fairfield, which is in between, is much more.

That # in the metar is depth. I'm sure their actual measurement is higher.

What location are you measuring in belle mead, just got back after shoveling, mini walk approx 5 hrs later tacked 5 plus inches.  Around 3 pm 18 OTG, now 23 OTG, in pike run community in belle mead.

I am sure I am doing something wrong.

woah, thats nice man. I'm at 8". but I am in a terrible measuring spot with buildings blocking every which way. My guess would be I have a tick more but I won't guess, so 8" it is.
