So far we have 1.35" on the day as of this moment. That puts us at 3.49 for the month already, combine that with the 6.32" last month, we are pushing 10" over 40 days. Pretty impressive stuff for the area.

It's a little more impressive than that. Early August was pretty dry before the deluge so it's a 31-day total of 9.71" from 8/11 to today at DTW.

What's really odd is it's still 76° outside here, and incredibly muggy... Dew is still 67°!

Was 75/69 at midnight here. Winds now backing out of the west here with the surface front passing. The air already feels drier. Have shut off the A/C for hopefully the last time this year. Open your windows and you might see a big blue spiky line passing overhead. :guitar:

Almost have surpassed the normal September total rainfall at LAF already, which is 2.66". Up to 2.61" for the month, through yesterday.  As well, 6.64" since August 1. And the airport has been the lowest of the local observers, by far. Lush deep green, spring-looking grass in these parts.

Other local observers total rainfall since August 1:

West Lafayette 2.8 NNE: 12.54"

West Lafayette 6 NW: 10.30"

West Lafayette 5.1 WSW: 8.82"

Lafayette 2.2 NE: 7.98"
