Bo. Where is the 10' snowman and round therometer going in the yard???

haha!  I have a 5' one I'm putting out, but haven't decided where.  My new insurance guy live 10 miles from me and he says in a "bad winter" they wind up with 250" but usually get 300". 

 

This Saturday night, Bo gets his first yooper flakes.

I saw that!  Truthfully tho, I have so much work to do, I could wait to see snow but from what I'm hearing around here, it usually doesn't wait.

September was another colder than normal month at Detroit, a trend in 2014, but one that has not been seen for years.

 

Jan: -9.2F

Feb: -8.7F

Mar: -8.5F
Apr: -0.3F

May: +1.7F

Jun: +1.1F

Jul: -3.7F

Aug: -0.5F
Sep: -0.9F

 

2014 is tied for 17th coldest year-to-date for Detroit, January - September, however...when you look at how 19th-century-heavy the coldest years are, heres another way to look at it.....since 1927, the only colder January-September periods were in 1940, 1978, 1979, & 1982.
