Sept-Oct heavy rain and Flooding threat

It's been a letdown in the rain department. Hoping tonight/tomorrow pans out.

    The March Lion Storm

Pretty much all snow in Downtown Detroit at this hour.

    The March Lion Storm

This feels like a Brighton, Clarkston, Lake Orion special. The extra 500 feet is going to help with accumulations vs closer to the city.

    February 8th-11th Overrunning Event

Just woke up to pingers hitting the window here in Royal Oak. Boo.

    February 8th-11th Overrunning Event

I am on board with these observations as well. It is hammer time right now in Royal Oak.

    February 8th-11th Overrunning Event

Sounds reasonable watching the radar returns over Lapeer County.

    February 8th-11th Overrunning Event

It has been ripping pretty good in downtown Detroit. TWC is setup just down Woodward, getting some nice shots for sure. Rates have seemed pretty good through the morning, interesting how the next several hours plays out.

So you're saying we get an LES kicker on Christmas day as well? What an event.

    December 24-25 Snow Potential

DTX just popped a Winter Storm Warning. 5-7" through midnight for the city and Eastern burbs.

    December 8-16 Clipper Regime

Been snowing at a pretty nice clip at DTW. Tough to estimate from the terminal, but I'd guess 1.5" thus far.

    2017-18 LES Season

Wow, that model must have streamers running very far inland or the Clipper train is about to get rolling. Impressive snow depths all the way into the thumb.

    October 2017 Discussion

I am 90% certain I saw a few flakes dropping in downtown Detroit this morning for a 30 second time frame.

    Winter of 2017-18 discussion, thoughts

I remember a few years back there was a lot of talk of growth of October snow cover in Siberia have a correlation to the macro weather patterns later in winter. The gist was that lots of snow cover growth = snowy and cold winter in the Midwest. This this still a thing? Or was it disproven?

2017 Spring/Summer Banter, Whining, Complaining Thread

Nearly stationary storm sitting over Windsor Ontario for about 2 hours now. It has occasionally crept across the river and it brought some crazy rain to downtown Detroit. Has to be localized flooding under those returns.
