Hoosier, I tried to get some momentum going a few years ago to break Cook county up into 2 zones but it didn't go anywhere. Many situations where it would be nice if it was. WFO NYC has broken up many of their counties into 2 zones.Sent from my SCH-I535

 

As has PHI.  I believe they have 4 counties split into two zones each.

To solve the problem, we need to just go to polygon based warnings and advisories, which I believe is being tested or will be soon.

This is one of those "borderline" warning events where lack of coordination between neighboring offices creates unnecessary confusion. All of the zones below have the same thresholds for warning issuance.

I'm pretty sure it would need to get approval from higher up and we'd need to coordinate with the affected counties.

One of these needs to happen for so many reasons...The latter being the best.
