powderfreak
CT Blizz delight.... dews above 70F straight into Canada. Its just annoying at this point to me. Its not like its hot, just damp. 75/70 with periods of rain isn't lovely summer weather. Its just moist. I think my appliances are sweating. You can see some of the ASOS vs. private stations dew point differences... like Lebanon, NH official is listed as 69F but all the non-ASOS around there are like 73-75. Same with Springfield, VT being 68F. The ASOS stations are the lowest on this map.

ORH_wxman
Oh, that makes sense. What's the highest ASOS dew point you've ever seen in SNE? I've seen upper 70s before. Maybe 77-78 or so? Pretty rare though. I remember Philly had a dewpoint in the 80s back during the 1995 heatwave.
ORH_wxman
Most of the ASOS are in fields not on pavement. Pretty much all of them are. They would be improperly sited if they were right next to tarmac...though I'm sure there's a few out there that are anyway.
