Ellinwood
I foresee plenty of highs in the 90s in our future. Sunday's storm could prove to be interesting if the vort max can scoot far enough south.

We need something area-wide. We got sprinkled on overnight - that evening complex went *POOF* like so many others have so far this summer. Last Thursday was the only time I've mowed my lawn in six weeks.

Bob Chill
Any chance the stuff slowly getting organized over the wv pandhandle make a slow soaking pass through dc metro? I'm getting sick of watering my hot pepper garden every other day. I'm not sure how much rain mby has gotten the last 2 weeks but it sure seems like not much is the right answer. Disc
Wow, just went through a very intense storm. Hail for 20 minutes, lightning with a flash and boom combined, winds gusting to 20-40mph. Reports of golf ball size hail a few miles to the west. I'm in the SW part of the city.
Bob Chill
Less water = hotter peppers. Yep, they do like dry spells. I got a good crop going but they will droop if I don't water every other day. That's what's frustrating. If I forget a day they get too dry. They'll even drop flowers sometimes. I do a partially submerged planting pot type of thing. Big benefit is I can pull them in October before the frost and finish off the ripening in my house. Plants are usually loaded with half ripes just about the time we get our first cold snap. I can increase harvest big time by pulling them and moving them inside. No suprise on the cells out west. Fizzled like a wet firecracker before they got here. Oh well. Par for the course. WinterWxLuvr
Today seemed to be Frederick county's lucky turn. Storms would pop up in and around the county, dump a bunch of rain, fizzle out, and do it again. Had two storms for about 1.25 total. Much needed.
