actually that was an incidental gust ... it's been NNW.. Outflow through and through. Dropped from 73 to 65. The line up along Rt 2 may not even get here before it is gone altogether. BD air mass did it's best and won this battle today.

Tower at BDL is busy trying to shuttle planes in and out. Winds just shifted there to 340 at 16. Sounds like they caught a couple of diversions for EWR too.

We maxed out at 30 mph in the outflow ahead of the first line, but since we've seen winds swinging back and forth from W to NE, pivoting and totally bleh.

Finally into the good precip though... it's dumping... 1.5"/hr according to the instant gauge reading

Yup--looks like you're getting slammed. Is the line weakening/splitting? Looks like the CT portion is going into a BDL/north area and then another portion focusing ust north of Waterbury??

Storms now popping just south of greenwich and stamford right along a seabreeze boundary and outflow. Was wondering if that was going to happen. Very dark skies just to the west, hoping for a halfway decent lightshow

It's too dark for a good shot... lots of mammatus streaming overhead to the east with scud racing northwestward. Perfect time around dusk for it to look really creepy.
