Today is the 26th consecutive 80+ day at ORD, pushing us into 9th.

Wednesday still looks to be the biggest threat to end the streak.

ORD hit 80 today making it the 27th consecutive 80+ day, bumping us up to 7th on the list.

It still looks likely that tomorrow will only make it into the upper 70's, ending the streak.

When I was out mowing around 7:30 this evening a large towering cumulus cloud passed over and dumped some large rain drops on me as I was mowing. Was totally unexpected as nothing had been showing up on radar. I thought it was bird crap at first, but then the large drops increased in frequency and it was obvious it was actually raining/sprinkling. Not really a big deal, but it was kind of interesting at the time lol.

Tomorrow morning should be our first sub 60º low temp since July 5th (59º). Point and click has a low of 54º, which would be the coolest at LAF since June 12th (53º).

Free AC FTW. :)

IND has had only 2 low temps below 60º this summer (6/12 and 6/25). Tomorrow should make the 3rd.

80 degree streak at IND may be in some jeopardy tomorrow. I lean toward them squeaking it out but it will be close.

81º yesterday. Going to be close again today. If not today...

...I like Saturday or Sunday for the 80º streak breaker. Saturday especially looks like a wet day at this point. Much needed wet day at IND, though parts of Indy metro have gotten good rains lately. The airport not so much.

Just 70 for the low here last night, thanks to the bath tub of Lake Erie. It's incredible though how a low of 70 with a dewpoint of 52 feels leaps and bounds cooler than 70 coupled with a dewpoint of 70! I'm surprised there is no weather formula that takes this into effect.

A few sites in Indiana within shouting distance of sub 50º low temps this morning. Certainly nothing earth shattering, but compared to the seemingly bountiful number of low temps of >70º this summer...a nice reprieve.

GOSHEN 6HR MIN TEMP: 51

MUNCIE 6HR MIN TEMP: 51

FORT WAYNE 6HR MIN TEMP: 52

TERRE HAUTE 6HR MIN TEMP: 52

SHELBYVILLE 6HR MIN TEMP: 53

BLOOMINGTON 6HR MIN TEMP: 53
