  1. Past hour
  2. Strange ... the GLAAM outlook from the CF model cluster would indeed suggest mid latitude expansion of subtropical ridging ... (really an polaward HC boundary migration) while the numerical teleconnectors (based off the global numerical ensemble systems, all 3, are going bonkers with this +PNA) - that attempts to deny the +AAM. +AAM modulates away from meridian flow transports in lieu of longitudinal, yet this... And it's more than this just transiently passing through this construct around that time interval ... the ensemble means set this up D8 and run it out to the annular finish at D15 still harboring a hint of the OV nadir there. Bit of a diametric indication going on.
  3. Not sure about ring of fire/dews. lol That's more of a mid-summer phenomenon anyway. if correct, we'll enjoy these days though
  4. Had no idea it was raining anywhere. Radar is colorful.
  5. Never thought I would get another .75 inches of rain today. Getting old in the Northern Tier.
  6. Yeah, it's way low for here. I discussed this with KMRX several days ago. Basically echoes missing some of the precip and intensity here. I'm at 11.82" for the Month now.
  7. I don't see that, at least early June. Maybe mid-month
  8. Ah yes the daily nycwinter wardrobe update. Thank God
  9. Perfect garden variety t shower…though not sure if I even heard Thunder! Probably need to issue a rainbow warning, sun is bright again!
  10. That is a pretty piss poor forecast based off today’s guidance. That will change over next day or so to AN over the northeast.
  11. Today
  12. My fam is all OK in Texas. Scary stuff though. The video of the AA 777 being pushed away from the jetbridge at DFW is crazy.
  13. Sneaky, indeed...my wife and yellow Lab left just after 4 p.m. for our usual four-mile walk and I didn't even pay attention to radar...except the skies once again got that bruised look again about halfway through the walk. We bolted back home and made it just as the downpour arrived...and I was able to snap another pic similar to last evening's, though not quite as dramatic as that one.
  14. looking forward to thursday cool and showery morning... might be a last hoodie day for me..
  15. Watching a lot of people outside my office window getting soaked. The few with umbrellas aren’t faring much better with the moderate gusts.
  16. June looks over the top heat early and then ring of fire / dews
  17. Looking at the forecast map, interior parts of the yoop will likely see some freezing temps tomorrow night. I should be around 35 but will take no chances as that's solid frost territory and with the hills and valleys locally, colder pockets do form around here. Probably will be the last frost for me as my proximity to the lake makes it more difficult moving forward but I have seen 30's for lows in June, July, and August and in fact, interior areas 30's are fairly common from time to time in the summer.
  18. It's almost comical how close these cells are coming to my backyard but just sliding to my south.
  19. end of May, yes. If that trough backs it's azz up, (June) we dew.
  20. Ya, I’ll be covering the garden. Getting a bit more nervous now
  21. I have nothing to brag about that can top that!
