After last night's deluge, we've had 5 inches of rain the past 72 hours.

Eventful few days for the Ravens. Lost a center and found out Bateman was arrested for domestic violence earlier this summer and is facing charges.

Low of 61. What a great stretch of weather we have upcoming to end August.

We've gutted operational and research meteorology in this country over the past two years. Not surprising this is occurring.

Picked up 0.55" here overnight. Woke up and it was raining hard. Wasn't supposed to get much of anything until today. I guess it came early.

Correct me if I am wrong but until the recent stormy weather we have had that put a huge dent in the drought, the overall theme has been the same since early spring…..we haven’t had a true rainy pattern setup.

Late August/Early September is the most pleasant time of year weather wise. It’s goated.

I just saw this video of a bear dodging a vehicle on I-70 before then running into the side of another vehicle on the adjacent surface street near W Vail 4 days ago! There also were 2 bear sightings in my immediate vicinity near W Vail the last 36 hours, including one right outside of a restaurant I was eating at at the time (I didn’t see it myself)! When I left the restaurant, I wasn’t scared but was extra vigilant! The horrible drought is causing them to be searching for alternative food sources. This area has had spotty but impressive looking monsoonal convection during mid to late afternoon developing over the highest peaks. Little rainfall has reached the ground, however. There starting pitching has been solid too for the most part. Gunnar though, man has he regressed terrible.

Wow, forecasting is in a sad state of affair nowadays. Chimps would be better at predicting precip. And they can't even use the usual "this is an extremely complicated setup" trope that we hear every time during the winter.

Where did the rainfall changes go. My PAC yesterday said 3/4-1 inch. Now it is down to less than a tenth.

Both rufus’s have multiple swaths of 1”+ over the deep interior. May have to start calling it reefers.
