  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, sounds nearly ideal for the calendar. We've had some terrible May/Junes ofc. July, I'd be a bit triggered with weeks of 70's and 80's.
  3. Inland temps will probably bump up a degree or two from forecast too. What's not to like?
  4. September vibes but strong sun angle and long days. take
  5. The most solid Nino support from AAM yet if this CFS prog is to be believed:
  6. Next week looks great. Upper 70's to low 80's with 50's at night is pretty good for the last week of May.
  7. I’m glad we’re heading south for the Memorial Day weekend.
  8. It’s been raining for the last 3 hours or so despite the radar showing it just to the south. Bye bye drought.
  9. Canes get beat and we zero out on rain in Raleigh… Coincidence???
  10. This heat got the water temp off Jones Beach up a whole 3 degrees! Up to 56 today. Still plenty of nastiness available with onshore flow like this weekend.
  11. Super El Niño and decent -PDO would probably be lights out for winter.
  12. Today
  13. Pretty good rain this evening in Charlotte. Need to get a weather station up here!
  14. Yeah I wonder if anything will make here at this point before it completely falls apart.
  15. As soon as that outflow blew through with nearest cell near RDU I knew we were screwed
  16. Yeah no kidding. only 41 yrs old. So sad
  17. The last few years we've done that mid summer PDO nosedive. I think that will be an early clue for this winter for what path we are on. If we can avoid driving off the PDO cliff maybe things really are changing. This is definitely what we want to see. After a decade of anomalous warmth its going to take some work to clear that heat out, but we should make a good dent if the WWBs and KWs continue. I hope we can get plenty of recurving typhoons this summer and fall to eat up the warmth further north too.
  18. Felt like corn mazes and apple picking.
  19. Big way in that there were a ton of them this winter diving down …every few days there’d be one. Ya they didn’t get underneath and redevelop, and were moisture starved, but that’s what clippers are more times than not. I know what you’re talking about though…and yes those work great for us here.
