First Freeze? -
Absolutely true. I know folks like to say, oh well it’s fake cuz it warms up 30-40 degrees by afternoon. Ya, we get that. But the cold is real as real can be while it lasted. It killed the growing season…that’s as real as it gets. Many deserts in the world have incredible diurnal swings…110-120F during the day, to freezing or below at night. Is that fake too? Just more proof the term is ASININE.

Super-Ninos of 1983 and 2016 each gave us a home run. Let's hope for that and not 1998!

At least model data will come out an hour earlier.

I want this in perpetuity. How could you not?

PV warnings help generate -NAO blocks but keep in mind you still need cold air to block in. At minimum it should help keep the pattern stormy in the mid atlantic (along with the help of the Nino enhanced southern stream). -
One. The bottom right photo. There appears to be a contrail in that photo.
-
This is like people who meh 8" snow events because "they've gotten them before". Did the people of Moore, OK meh an EF-5 ripping through because "they've gotten one before".

I really can't remember such a great stretch of weather in a long time! The GFS for East Nantmeal keeps us mild through the first week of November -

I didn't quote Webb. -
Any contrails you see in the mix ?

What sucks is that we’ll have less daylight with which to enjoy it starting next week. Darn it!!

the reality distortion field is all powerful on Mt. Tolland at least for some, anyway

Looks like 1965, 1968, 1987, and 1998 had an additional SSW event later in Winter. Only 1987-88 has the same ENSO/QBO combo. -
Because if something doesn't happen on certian hills in CT, it hasn't happened at all.

You might as well draft up the "what went wrong" post now so you just have to hit submit next week.
