What time do we think the steady snow arrives in the 95 corridor, after 10? -

The 300'+ towers on Pigeon Hills are beginning to obscure a bit. Typical for me to lose site even in light snow being around 2.5 miles away from me, give or take.

I don't trust the GFS. I'm not sure how well it's been doing lately. And long range, wasn't it showing a torch for Christmas. And now it seems to be catching up to the Euro ( or did I get that wrong? ) -

Given some of the model guidance 700-850 mb FGEN, there may be multiple heavier narrow bands embedded within the widespread snow shield. These could be somewhat transient though. -

MO/KS/AR/OK 2025-2026 Winter Discussion
NWAflizzard replied to stormdragonwx's topic in Central/Western States
18z GFS shows some promise after 300 hours. Cold air comes down through the plains with below average temperatures all the way to the gulf. Christmas Eve and Christmas look to torch though. Just need to dislodge that cold air out of central Canada -

If it's not gonna snow I'll take a big rainer. Still a lot of ground to make up in the moisture dept from the dry summer and fall. -

French Creek right up the road here in NW Chesco.....Huff's Church seems to always be the snow capital in my neck of the woods! -

My wife and I were leaving to go to dinner and the color was epic. One of the reddit sunsets I've seen. I pulled the ole "red sky at night, sailors delight" shtick and realized that sailors must be weenies too.

Drove thru a drift back in November on a side street and a sheet of snow flew up on my windshield - most fun since I owned snow sleds years back. I understand why you like it LOL -
Good to see it starting as all snow. Appears to be a bit of a warm pocket in the Frederick Valley.

Snowflakes (as in precip) have begun to fall in Hanover.
