Well, you could have fooled me prior to Jan 2026! "It never snows anymore!" said how many times? Even after two 20"+ storms in Weymouth, I still heard complaints! -

Should be right in the thick of a severe cell now but the sky lightened up, the wind totally died, and it’s just drizzling. Kind of eerie. Very tropical looking rain so far, tiny drops coming down in waves -
Damn that doesnt sound good.

Emergency officials believe it was a tornado. -
PIX11 predicting 1-2" of rain for the City and Long Island through tonight. That's an irresponsible forecast based on the models. Wouldn't be surprised if somebody ends up with 7" somewhere, with a widespread 3-4". Also: absolutely pouring in western Brooklyn. Probably already at 1.5"+.

Extensive damage throughout the area that seems to follow a very narrow path. -
Quite a few years ago (maybe 8ish?) Brian found a place that was selling American Chestnut seedling. About a foot tall at best. I don't remember (Brian do you?) who we got them from but they said they were breed to be blight resistant. I got 4. I planted them and 3 are doing very good. For the first time this season one is producing nuts. I counted about 20. American Chestnuts need pollen from another tree and as you can see in these pictures I do have 2 of them a couple of hundred feet apart. We will see what happens. The drought up here is taking a toll on young trees. I have been trying to water these as the leafs are starting to wilt. We have had less than 2.5" of rain since August 1rst. Missing out again today. Arrgghhh...

At eastern York high school right now, I think this was a tornado fellas debris is lofted hundreds of yards from the high school. I have pictures that I'll be putting up soon. But I have to get to my fishing hole taking video and pictures of the situation right now. -

The best radar signatures for a tornado in our CWA would have been the QLCS moving through Barclay, Queen Anne's county in Maryland into Hartly of Kent county in Delaware. Then, the QLCS merged with a storm in front of it that produced a sudden, intense wind signature from Wyoming into Dover, which apparently became a tornado right over the city according to NWS reporting of a TDS. -
Absolutely pouring, rain is relentless the last 30-40 minutes

1.2" here so far. Had brutal downpours on 287 coming home. Lots of runoff and you could see the storm drains were taxed.

Had 2 warnings go off just as i got out of the Acme. Made it home in a little rain. Faired well here. Reports of trees down in West Grove but it doesnt seem it was a TOR. No sirens or power outages. Rain has ended now. -

He has the most posts and complains the most, so he has "earned" it! I worked w/ him for 10 years and he is the uber-est weenie I have ever known when it comes to winter, and he was never shy to tell me "SNE stinks for SVR!" So we have "that kind of wx rapport!" -
Yep, that looks almost exactly like the third party muffler I had on the H.
