Mountain West Discussion

We really caught up yesterday with 2.64" of rain in 24 hours. Closing in on 4 inches for the month, who knew? Then again, May is often the surprise flood month- 2 years ago we had close to 6 inches in a day and a half, that washed out the road over Cherry Creek in the state park for close to a year. Same road had a foot of flowing water over it in the same place this morning. -

About 2.25" downtown and pouring again. I'm the lucky charm-this part of Texas is in a severe drought. When I lived here in May 2015 there was 20"+ that month. In Oct 2015 the remnants of Pamela dumped over 16" on the airport/south side of the city. When it decides to rain here it doesn't disappoint.

I had several hours of mainly light rain today (5/26).

Who doesn’t love a good nymph.

I love this non complaining side of you.

Idk it seems pretty obvious it's an issue.

Back to the chilly lame droopy cutoff lows on Wed.

Now it's in the 60s

Garbage over the next couple days starting tomorrow, but a slow warm-up by next weekend to end the month.

The trees work only on 90 degree days, other days the site it fine

It's gonnabe THE 2013-2014 SEQUEL. Get ready. Buy Jebman shovels, snowblowers, salt, kitty litter and a ton of beer and foods and get those phones ready to play all the tracks that remind you of snow! Get ready for EPIC jebwalks in 5 inch per hour snows. Better stock up a huge supply of whatever you use to stay awake. Because you will be up tracking models for weeks.

It’s done now, still hear thunder but that was awesome

If this happened again in the 2020s over NC and VA and the greater DC Metropolitan region, this place would go utterly nuts. I'd JEBWALK over there from Texas if I had to, even with my bad left knee. No frackin' way I'd ever miss that. Imagine FOUR FEET OF SNOW in one storm in eastern Prince William! Everything would be snowbound for weeks. It would be a literal representation of Mammoth Mountain Resort, in the Mid Atlantic!

Still constant flashes downtown. This is probably the best lightning show I’ve ever seen.

I want this weather all summer

Enjoyed 4 nice downpours today to help keep the moss nourished. I'll start planting tomorrow, by far the latest I've ever started planting. I'm usually done by now. Really feels like the arrival of stable planting weather has been getting later and later, despite how much warmer the climate has become. Too many ticks. The bottom 30 feet of nearly every beech tree on my property has some sort of disease causing the leaves to die off.

One of the positives of baseball....marathon, not a sprint. No, I don't think we're gonna turn it around enough, but we have the talent to AT LEAST get the bats to wake up some. Pitching will kill us for the long term, but we weren't THIS bad imo. Weirder things have happened, but I'm just glad they figured out how to string some good baseball together instead of 1 game followed by 4+ egregious performances.

The forum would be losing its collective shit if the Euro pumped this out Dec-Mar… Even if it was a 5-day 18z run run. Regardless of unlikeliness, it’s a hilarious model outcome of another Saturday.

It’s insane, and Austin downtown just got relatively grazed. Hopefully it’s not too bad in San Marcos/New Braunfels where velocities were better. Still dumping and loud thunder just now. Lightning still crazy. Wow-WOW-just saw lightning hit the Frost Bank tower (pretty sure). The lightning show on the way out is ridiculous
-
Lightning is absolutely constant. Crazy roar.

We’ve been on quite the heater with regards to peak misery occurring shortly after winter. Can’t get shit from Dec-March but we can sure ruin weekends in May and June like nobodies business
