Hopefully Ditty went to bed early. The game is going worse than his wind event. -
78 today. Very warm night, still 70

Models have that PA blob moving NW of us or just falling apart.

I'm not really sure why they're laughing or calling you a weenie, I don't want to see >80 until June. I'm sure if it was in the 60s in July people would whine. So why should I have to deal with 80s in October?

Clear Spring mesonet site already M1.68" of rain.

Air on tonight. Warm -
The weekend deal if it happens is an occluding low cut off from cold air. It would be a cold windy rain on the coast and maybe snow inland/elevated.
-
We need to set reasonable expectations for overnight. A number of CAMs suggest that there will be a narrow WSW-ENE swath of just over 0.50" somewhere between Alexandria and Baltimore, but much of the local area will be fortunate to see 0.25".

It looks.................decent. Does enough of it hold?

I guess today was the last day of summer for 2025. I find it interesting that the record high today was set in 1941 at 97 degrees in Harrisburg. That had to be hot for this time of year. -
Today, both Central Park and Newark reached 80° for the fourth consecutive day. The last time both cities had at least four consecutive 80° or above highs in October was way back in 1990.

I’d change my religion for this storm…But not zoroastrianism…Just wanted to make that clear in advance -
Yea well the Euro lost any reliability reputation it might have had a long time ago. The flip flop from 12z is embarrassing.

Well we'll know in about 12 hours or so. Maybe I'll be wrong. Maybe I'll be right. Either way, at least we're getting some rain out of it -

Looking more likely we could our first frost Friday morning. Leaves around the house are almost done falling and we did a major leaf blowing today. The worst is almost over for me except for my allergies! -
September PDO’s value was higher than last September’s. -2.x instead of -3.x
