Just got back from a dreary walk down the street and it’s pretty bad in places. At the bottom, part of our neighbors drive away is washed away and there is a pile of asphalt and rocks where it once existed. Along that same driveway, part of the side of the lawn has been literally carved away from the runoff. We’re fortunate enough to live in high part of town but others are clearly not as lucky. It’s just amazing what fast, running water can do to solid objects including mounds of pollen, which have just about all been disposed of! Can’t believe it’s still raining out, 5” and counting..

He was a good assistant GM for the Astros, where his focus was scouting and player development at the minor league level. Unfortunately he seems to think that is the sole purpose of an actual GM as well. He is a failure.

There was briefly heavy rain with pretty gusty winds as they raced through here.

For me the picture is becoming a little clearer: We have a GM who is absolutely fantastic at finding young talent and building the best farm system in the league. Because the young talent was so good the team rose to contention a year quicker than anybody thought! But unfortunately...this same GM has absolutely sucked at building around that young talent. In fact he was OVERfocused on young talent, smh And then...there seem to be other issues with the way he ran things overall that are still coming to light. (over emphasis on analytics may be one of those things). As one analyst said earlier: It's one thing to get talent: It's another to win with it. And unfortunately...Elias just hasn't been good at the other side of the equation.

Sorry, I feel I am to blame. At least I didn't say "just wait til you get snow in June"

Very impressive storm, not sure how a winter version would have played out -however I'd bet at least 2-3" of rain

Didn't hit 60 today, but close. 59.7 high, with a good bit of wind and clouds flying overhead. As someone said, feels November or Marchish. Currently 56.6/35.7 with a 'cool' NNW breeze at 13 gusting to 22 mph. Highest wind was 30 mph just after noon.

I remember this. The weeks of clouds drizzle and rain was the supposed cause for a steep rise in suicide rate in cpa that month.
