I was really thinking we were in for a cold and snowy winter looking at all of the analogs for east based super el ninos. This helped reign in my expectations. thank you

I'm in the camp of Vikings win, but Miami covers the current +12/12.5 number. If Jefferson plays, maybe they have a shot to cover, but without him, Miami could sneaky cover that one. Weirder stuff has happened and the NFL is tough to cover 12+ in game. However, I will say teams that are specifically +13.5 tend to cover more than teams between +10.5 to +13 historically. Don't know why, but definitely a weird trend for betting.

Pool is getting closed next week so figured I'd just let the temp drop, but just turned the heater on. I can probably get the water to 80 tomorrow and take one last dip.
-
It’s a warm one. Sitting at 87 right now.

Oh my...our first "DIGITAL BLUE" of the season (even if it's flip-flops)!!!

These maps tend to skew dry due to missing data at some stations, but you can see how the last couple of months have been much wetter to the south and east of Denver metro. Northern Front Range has definitely been the screw zone.

i already had my heater on a few times last week during the raw cool weather because of the storm..
-
felt very muggy out their today i am so done with summer weather..
-
Was going to come here to complain about how I haven’t seen sunny skies in over a week but it looks like you all already took care of that for me.
-
Looking forward to tomorrow. I can probably get one last swim day in if I put my heater on

Where’s the sun? None here. Beer?

we need our kids to play softball and baseball for once. The 12z Euro dramatically reduced the Saturday precip. If you translate it to winter...we went from a foot to 1/2 inch of snow. This is between the 6z and 12z run. Its also less impressed on Sunday

80 at EWR. 76 here and muggy with some sun at times
-
Yeah it feels like summer. 79 degrees with a dewpoint of 66 here right now.

Total rain at my house 1.26" for September. Interesting that Centennial Airport just 3-4 miles south got 3.23". Also DEN was 4th warmest all time for the month. Looks like the transition zone from lighter to heavier rain the last 2 days (using an inch, more or less, as the dividing line) was way down in Pueblo and Huerfano Counties. -

Rachel well on its way to becoming *yet another* high end Major hurricane in this ludicrous EPAC season -
The models are waffling on rain amounts, with some at less than .5 to others at 2+ inches over the weekend. I always like getting a nice soaker in October to lower fire danger. There are almost always fires here in October, but if we get a good soaker they tend to just burn the surface leaf litter and don't get deep into the soil to root burning level.
