  10. Outside of natural causes, the natives historically have set fires regularly to manage forests. Not just in NA, but in AUS, too, (and probably elsewhere) they stayed on top of these things. Now the forests are just full of fuel making fires so much worse. Since these fires are so close to us, and there are many small ones combined with the bigger ones over the border, these fires are all adding their smokes together, and we are getting the brunt of the surface smokes.

As this is the 3rd time this week / 5th time this year we’ve lost power in our neighborhood (powered by Eversource, outages all courtesy of low hanging wires and questionable pole infrastructure), I’m looking into a backup home generator Ideally connected to gas line and automatically turning on when power is out Any recommendations? I hear Kuhlman Electric ads for Generac all the time and seems good I figured this forum would have tons of experience with severe / blizzards TIA!

  18. Northwesterly flows haven’t done this area many favors over the years. Need to get a prolonged flow out of the gulf to fix this mess.
