  8. My high was officially 100.0" yesterday at 2:41 pm after a 78 low at 5:44 am. Today a whole other story with an 82 low just before 6 am. I was already at 92 before 9 am. It's currently 97 with a dp of 82 (feels like of 122).
  9. It's 12:45pm. My brother is a doctor in DC. He and his family are at the 250th July 4th event. The police are shutting the whole thing down right now until 5pm. Although there are a huge amounts of people the medical tents can not keep up with the heat victims.
  10. 98/78/116 Was out doing some errands. Stopped by our CSA to get our weekly allotment. The older Ms. J is home for the weekend and we both said it did not feel as bad as yesterday. I guess we are just somewhat used to it. Still would not be out for long.
  11. Definitely running behind yesterday, which is weird because today was supposed to be a little bit hotter than yesterday.
  12. Baltimore Inner Harbor hits 101° CC: @donsutherland1
  13. Day 3: Hit 100 already right at noon. DP at 74.
  14. Drove down to Lowe's near DCL this morning and my car thermometer read 87F around the lake. Got back up to the cabin and it was down to 81F. Some clouds moved through and it's not bad outside as long as you're not in the sun.
  15. Seems a bit warmer south of here today with the slight northerly component to the wind
  16. Most expansive heatwave in history? Lmao. I guess the 1930s-50s just removed themselves from history. Not to mention 1988, 1995, 2012, etc
  17. Severe Thunderstorm Watch up until 7pm CDT https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/watch/ww0445.html
  18. Just popping in to say that it is absolutely disgusting outside.
  19. leading wind as the line approached ne of Rockford was pretty impressive. anemometer is busted so no substance to that other than “it was effin windy”. rotation south of Beloit, looks like it just got warned.
  20. I worked in the bowels of Penn Station for 7 hours a day for almost 20 years where it was regularly 10 degrees warmer (or cooler in the winter) than actual temperatures and it’s days like today where I wonder how the hell I did it. And, wasn’t like I was standing around doing nothing, I was doing physical labor and in pants and socks too. I made pretty good money doing it, but I 100 percent would not go back to doing it. It was tolerable a few weeks in April and October for the most part, lol either freezing or sweltering the rest of the year.
