You can tell its border line on temps here because these are some large aggregates falling now but its starting to accumalate on the grassy surfaces.

and just last night i went to go to bed and thought man its cold up here as i got to top of steps my daughter was watching a hockey game in her room with all the windows open(Our heat is not on yet in our bedrooms) i chuckled and thought "she's Mikes Kid"

Decent snow shower now including snow pellets which are sticking to outdoor furniture-if the winds-30 mph don't blow them away.

29 for the low here, first freeze of the season. This brief cold shot reminds me of what most of November 1977 was like. Repeated frontal passages followed by cold stratocumulus skies.

For even the older cronies here, there was a significant lack of big snows prior to 1979. It seems to me that they’ve became more common, or at least less rare, since then. Maybe we’ve gotten a little spoiled because they had been happening somewhat regularly right up to 2016.

My personal weather station on Staten Island got down to 32 degrees. Currently in Ocho Rios Jamaica where it’s 81 and humid. We had a thunderstorm here a few hours ago. You can see some signs of damage from Melissa, but otherwise business as usual

Yes, China's nuclear generation is increasing rapidly. They are also adding large amounts of hydro and wind. However their biggest source of their new non-fossil power this year is solar. The solar they are installing this year is roughly equivalent to the entire US nuclear fleet.

Had a heavy enough shower of graupel to dust the driveway about 10 minutes ago. It's 38°, so it doesn't lay for long. Low this morning was 32°, but really 32.5° so not freezing. I use a convention of rounding the .5 to the nearest even whole number. I think it is unlikely that my sensor is accurate to a tenth of a degree, so its all funny money.

Just dropped off my wife at her appointment and seeing some snowflakes fall into the windshield... And I am content. Winter is here Sent from my SM-S166V using Tapatalk
