Nah I’m here, I guess as you get older you get hungrier for the bigguns. Thats not just snow, that’s any type of weather.

Not me.  I've mellowed out.  When you are a teenager and once in college just getting to know the real ins and outs, and that period SUX for snow (for me the second half of the 80s), when the train finally came in 1992-93, that gives you perspective, and then after something like 95-96 and to top it off w/ one of the most wild blizzards ever in 1997 (the "freak the public out" off season events do it for me!),  that made up for all the "bad times."  And it just stayed epic, w/ the absolute pinnacle Jan-Feb 2015.

@CoastalWxwas old enough to know how the second half of the 80s were Ask him how many times how woke up to sunny conditions and went, "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY 4-8" OF BACKLASH?!"  And even though he had to wait a bit longer than me b/c Dec 11-12, 1992 was a royal shaft in Brockton for snow, it all corrected itself soon enough, and for *everyone.*

Even when a gap occurs like the 4 years until this past Jan, and then two 20"+ storms in his backyard?  Sorry, I don't want to hear it! :violin:

No, we get that.  I think we all feel that way to a point. Who doesn’t want big dog. Right .???  Big Dog anything weather related is exciting.

But I have no issues with 2-4” either.  I appreciate the aspect of it falling and making everything look beautiful.

That's what I thought for @CoastalWx when he got his long awaited 6" in Jan -- VIOLENTLY BEAUTIFUL he said.  But the NIN "downward spiral" continues I guess despite a solid 25-26 winter.

We try to convey this to the younger whippersnappers…but it’s hard when they didn’t live through the dry spells.  And they always feel that something has changed to cause it.  But it’s nothing like that..,it’s just the normal oscillation of what SNE goes through.  But alas…

I don’t understand the 60 mile wide warnings in these. All of this stuff besides the Litchfield stuff looks terrible. Even that may not be what it looks

You know Wiz…if a branch falls on a house, and there wasn’t a warning…god forbid.

I think we’ve exhausted the Xmas Eve idea to death now….

What people fail to acknowledge, is that one of those 70 plus Xmas eve’s(2014), came a month before a historic snow blitz.  Ya…that was one of the years.  I think I we’d all take a 73 degree Xmas eve, if we could get that again a month later.
