Stuff is too banded and FMH taking my moisture. Oh well. I don’t care about the lawn as much as my plants. It’s just a lot to water the plants hydrangeas, etc. 1

Yeah, we’re about to wrap up down here, looks like some sprinkles left and it’s done. .60 ish will be the total, after days and days of inches shown

Snowedin
Looks like some decent banding is finally setting up in eastern ma, esp around the south coast. It’s like a damn force field was over us much of yesterday keeping the best moisture at bay.
weatherwiz
Were there even any major flood reports or any flooding reports outside of the typical low street or poor drainage? All that was going around on social media you would have thought disaster was coming lol. Meanwhile in 3 weeks we'll get a setup with no flood watches, no WPC area for flooding, and half of the Merritt and stretches of 95 from CT into RI/SE MA will be underwater with cars trapped

HIPPYVALLEY
What a dumping in Falmouth! No rain gauge but the tumbler I left out has about 4” of water in it. Lots of flooded roads.
Damage In Tolland
9 minutes ago, powderfreak said: Congrats on nearly 3”… everyone wins. It’s been dumping that heavy , soaking small droplet rain all day. Has not stopped. . I ran in it this morning and it just keeps building overhead. The stuff adds up. No one could have seen or forecast that . It’s probably similar to the soaking upslope rains you get all the time. I’m not exactly sure, but I’d bet there’s some small scale upslope component to this stuff today

That’s the classic upslope rains… just soaking sheet small droplets and seem to add up faster than it should. Radar over you has been steady but also hasn’t looked like 1”+. That’s why I was surprised.
