MGorse
Seems like all the earlier convection and cloud cover kept the warm front farther south. This along with the cold front still well back to our west could be at least some of why the intensity of the convection (severe wise) has been tempered so far.
enpawx_observer
Right in the thick of that warning issued for Montco. Probably ~25mph gust with moderate rain. Worst was a CTG strike on the pole down the street. Power back came back in a few minutes though 1
MGorse
Thunderstorm here now with a downpour and some close CTG lightning. Barely any wind.
JTA66
On my third or fourth storm of the day. This one is the most intense so far. Lost power for a moment but it’s back now. 80F/DP 78F
BBasile
0.06" on the day. Still 81F with a 77F dew. HRRR is not optimistic for later on. No rotation... At all?
Chadzachadam
Happy to miss the severe so far, any risk of the smoke sticking around if the rain busts though?
MGorse
Looks like the tornado warnings so far have been outside of the tornado watch (within the severe thunderstorm watches). 1

Newman
3 hours ago, RedSky said: Radar looks like ass for this evening can't believe i missed this Once again we failed because 1. Early morning WAA crapvection and 2. Too much forcing for ascent driven by a strong synoptic system, which ultimately leads to clusters of storms every which way simply occupying the same spaces. It's the same problem we had with the Moderate Risk bust a few months ago. Too much convection.

JTA66 Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Now that the latest round of storms has moved through, I’m sitting at a little more than 1.00” for the day. Can’t remember the last time I had four rounds of thunderstorms in 12 hours.
MGorse Posted yesterday at 01:47 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:47 AM More convection incoming. 0.14” so far today. Rather muggy out. 77F.
LVblizzard
That cold front feels nice. Windows are open to let in the less humid and non smoky air. Tuesday’s threat looks interesting…would be nice to make up for yesterday’s whiff around here.

I eventually switched to KDOX. I ended up at 87 for a high after a 69 low and only picked up 0.34" total from 2 rounds yesterday . Today was like day and night with the dp drop... actually tolerable. High was 82 after a 69 low and smoke mostly cleared out. Currently mostly sunny and 80 with dp 60.
MGorse
Ended up with 0.29 inches late yesterday and last night. Refreshing today!
LVblizzard
The NAM and HRRR look drastically different for Tuesday. The NAM has widely scattered storms in eastern PA while the main line stays in western PA and dissipates as it reaches this area. The HRRR plows a strong line of storms through the region on Tuesday evening. It’s a decent setup without as many fail modes as Saturday…but we still need things to come together the right way. It’s not easy to get a severe outbreak around here.
