I'm  in Europe watching the Olympics!  Thrilled to see the gold medal hockey game tomorrow but I fucking called this storm would verify because this was the one time I didn't want it to snow!  Had to postpone my trip home lol

Funny how so many of us are having 3/5/01 flashbacks (me included). I don’t recall feeling this way with PD II or the Jan 2016 storm.

Hopefully it just the part of me that can’t relax until I’m finally shoveling.

It's engraved in our memory bank. I think I was screwed up for a week straight following the bust. Still in my frontal upper lobe since which pops out on these such occasions. Imagine trying to tell a doctors this? You'll be in a straight jacket and on 40 meds in a jiffy and they will never look at you the same again. May receive monthly money assistance from the government and labeled as disabled...fun hobby this is for sure.

That NAM ends up following the SREF NMB member closely. Been tracking it run after run. Wherever that NMB model does with precip gradient the NAM follows.

Just a new trick If you want a sneak peak on where the NAM run will go an hour before it comes out

Months ago the gf got us tickets to some play for tonight. How do I tell her I want to stay home and stare at weather models?

My wife just told me she wish she made plans tonight…she’s over the models lol.

Thing is, it was a decent winter. But because of that debacle, it’s not fondly remembered.

Jealous as hell, I think I’d trade going to the gold medal hockey game for this storm. Root team USA on to victory!!

I felt this way before the president day 2003 storm. Kept thinking the rug pull was coming since 2001 was so fresh

First and only call:

shore points: 16-24”+ maybe a jackpot of 30” though I think 24” will be the lollipops. Potential for 30” is there though.

I 95/295/195/476 corridor 10-16” I think there will be lollipops of 20” wherever the 2nd deformation band away from the shore sets up in here. Unfortunately closer to 10” or possibly even a “bust” of 7-8” whoever gets caught in between the 2 deformation bands.

Lehigh Valley: 6-12” also depends on how far that deformation band makes it nw but I think at minimum 6” is looking like a good bet.

Mickeytims house: 0” … we can only hope.

i think this will be a region wide win. Some will just win more than others lol I expect tomorrow during the day will mostly be snow tv, possibly an inch or two on grassy surfaces but once the sun sets and intensity picks up it’s off to the races.

Hey! I live in the same area as him! Don’t loop me in with him!

Yeah, then 2002-03, 2003-04, and 2004-05 soon followed, and left 00-01 in the dust. If that 3/5/2001 storm even verified halfway, 00-01 would have been remembered in that great series of winters in the first half of the 2000s (with the exception of the obvious dud in 2001-02).

poor guy has to suffer through a hockey game, pizza, amazing baked goods with no GMO, pasta, steaks and curling....... while we get plastered with snow on snow.  Of course it is always fun to tune up the old club cadet 3 stage, changed the oil, new pull start, tighten anything that was shaking, shimmying and swaying.

going to be a hoot.  ya know.....one of those moments when your inner voice say's "gonna need a bigger boat"

Do us all a favor.....pop over to PizzaAM or Piz before they close.  grab a pie to two and document the great food we are all missing out on.   then go to hockey and enjoy
