I'm already at about 6" and the heaviest stuff hasn't even arrived yet, we have another 12-15 hours of this still to go so 2 feet isn't that unrealistic for us. jm1220
The band about to come into Manhattan will pivot west and will probably hang out around the I-287 corridor. Lots more inflow and banding coming in from the ocean, doesn't seem overly subsidence driven. Where that death band can hang out for a while around I-287, Orange County will be one jackpot, time over good snow with more good banding over coastal NJ/LI will be the other jackpot. Seems to me like Boxing Day 2010 adjusted a little west?

As of 9 pm, 6.5" in Metuchen, so 1.25" the last hour and it's down to 30F; snowing close to heavily but radar showed that really heavy looking band to my SE kind of fizzling to "normal" heavy snow. Just shoveled the end of the driveway, since the plows just went by and I hate letting that slushy mess freeze.

We're seeing some drifting now so will be tough to stay on the board measurements, and I have to be on call for work, so this might be measuring call-out duty - hopefully some other folks in the Monmouth/Middlesex, Union, Essex crew can manage. I think we are in for a snow-pile night still by us - think we end up with 16-22 across the area.

We’re doing ok though, I think a foot is achievable. Anything else beyond is gravy.
StallionRx
About 2-3 inches in Easton,CT. It's sticking to everything and already weighing some pretty strong limbs down. Add some wind and it's going to be a problem.
