Those are 27.5 and 26.8 inches. I doubt the city approaches those amounts but even if they did I doubt whoever they send to measure in the park will be accurate with all that blowing and drifting.
Since this storm will overlap a calendar day they must also start new measurements at midnight Sunday and add the totals together it isn't maximum depth then. In summation accuracy might be a problem no matter what they get.

They've actually been pretty spot on this year with snow measuring at Central Park.

For NYC? If so it’s 27.2 I think

Never eclipsing 1996.  The storm was amazing.  It kept coming down hard.  And when the intensity dropped slightly, it only came down just as hard a minute later.  However, I wouldn't mind seeing a 40 inch snowstorm...

96 is tough but this could slip into the #2 slot rather easily....lol

Checking in from the SE forum! I know it's the long range RAP model, but what a beautiful thing to look at. I feel like it did very well with our snow at the first of the month!

Perfect gets up to se New Jersey before moving east.

One thing that has been consistent through all of the wobbling over the past 8 or so runs from just about every model is that the southern half of NJ east of 95 gets walloped. There’s been a huge blob over that area in every run.

got the big bathtub to tap into moisture; pro mets are saying they expect long island and easter ct to get slammed as well; same reasons imo.

1996 isn't even in the top 5 snowfalls at Central Park anymore.

First and hopefully final call. Anything major changes will issue an update tomorrow AM.

Went with 1-2 feet region wide, lesser amounts farther NW. Locally higher amounts 2-3 feet possible highlight in text for near Monmouth/Ocean and SE MA Ply/Bristol
