Love how he called me out as one of the people bullying him when I really haven’t said much except to shut up lol. But, ya seriously if he thinks he’s being bullied then leave. No one wants him here anyway.

Who are you again? I've been posting on these boards for almost 30 years. Im not going anywhere.

One thing I can say about these forums is that they are always amusing in one way or another. Also, there is always interesting weather somewhere in the country. :)

It's hard to believe it but there it is - You can see they had at least 42 inches on the Woolly Lot this morning before they plowed it and snow blew it. Damn man that is a LOT of frickin' snow!!!!! https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/woolly-cam

Someone has got a LOT of diggin to do.

Looks to be about 24-30 inches fresh snow on the Village Level too.

Don't look now but 12-18 inches Thursday from yet another storm then another heavy snowstorm Sunday night into Monday night. Additional snowstorms beyond that timeframe as well.

You want snow, you know where to go.

Funny you mention a therapist. Because I've discussed at length the decades of what people have said here, and their conclusion is you are bullies and I need to defend myself even if I've felt 60% of the insults were in good fun. Since disrespect slowly erodes self esteem even when its a "joke". I guess my therapist is wrong too, right! LOL

There have been a number of people who have trolled you for your antics. But a number of people have offered advice and help which you ignored or refused.  I’ve always admitted my role with you and I make no apologies. If you did describe things correctly with your therapist then I’ll take the label of bully and not deny it. But you have had a role in your treatment here as well. You can’t say you have no blame when you come in and say things you know will upset others and then throw up your hands and act all innocent. That’s flat out narcissism.

Making literally one or two posts with factual statements like "Climo says this storm won't happen" is upsetting? I think you all need some real problems.

Sure, we dig up ancient history and say im not blameless. There is some truth there. But if we just focus on the now and keep it on the weather. The outrage is ridiculous. Nothing I said was upsetting or meant to be upsetting. This is all hilarious.

GFS leads the way on a storm, Euro is a no, not much ensemble support, climo, and making a statement like "I don't think this storm is happening" is panic? Like what planet are you living on?

Driving different way to work on route 1 in beltsville and there are still giant snow piles in the traffic lanes! Wtf!?

I am kind of stunned that the counties around here didn't resume plowing after it started melting to clear out the roadways.  As you noted, there are still places that are down a lane.

My deep dive question of the day.

Do you (general) have issue with justifying purchasing things for yourself?

I have gotten back into printmaking lately, did some holiday gifts for the kids and my husband. I did some lino blocks to make one of a kind t shirts. I do not own a proper printing press and have been using a brayer, a small hand press, or by standing on the inked block to press. My printing methods have been less than stellar according to my standards and I have seriously been eyeing a small handmade press. The thing is I am having issue with justifying getting it. The cost is not excessive but I think after being in mom mode I am struggling to convince myself of that. Mr. J has just told me to get it, yet I still find myself looking at it to order and am not pulling the trigger. I want to get back into my artwork and know the proper equipment is a must. But I am just finding it hard to spend money on myself.

I am just curious if anyone else goes back and forth with this.

Buy it.  If you need justification other than just wanting it, set out a plan where you'll be using it some of the time for making gifts for others.

Definitely buy it! That is a meaningful and cool purchase you'll enjoy a long time. Here's another justification to tap into your "mom mode" a bit haha...model for your kids that, as long as you're not going broke, treating yourself and spending money on yourself and your creative interests is a positive thing.

Please report back to us when you have bought it :D

Dude, you definitely need a new therapist. FYI you also need a refund from your current therapist.

Haha Had not heard this one! Whhhhy did the musician catch a stray dang it!

Look up Gilbert and Sullivan comic operettas, I think you'd like them.  You can probably easily find recordings of any number of the operas they did...about a dozen from the 1870s to the 1890s.  "Mikado" is generally recognized as their most popular and successful, both at the time it first came out and in the modern day.  I've always liked G&S, grew up with recordings of them (my parents were big fans!) and was fortunate enough to see several performed live.  What's interesting is that Sullivan (who did the music) was already widely recognized as a successful composer outside of the stuff he did with Gilbert, while Gilbert himself was a bit of a curmudgeon though had a biting wit, publishing various things in magazines and such at the time.  The two of them collaborating together (great music, humorous and biting lyrics) were amazing; you cannot separate the music from the lyrics.  Though they did not get along personally much of the time.  And from what I understand, Queen Victoria at times was not overly fond of Gilbert's poking fun at various aspects of the government, etc. ("WE are not amused!!").  Sullivan was knighted while still alive, Gilbert was knighted posthumously.  While I absolutely love "Mikado" and find it to be their most clever work, my favorite is actually "Yeoman of the Guard" which is their most serious operetta and actually a bit tragic in the end (though still with an edge of humor).

Funny thing too about "Mikado."  Some of the lyrics (such as the "Little List" song) can be modified to throw in local or current event references!  They just facilitate themselves to that.  I recall seeing it performed live one year in Ohio (not sure if it exists anymore, the Ohio Light Opera Company), they did several G&S performances each year.  At the time, Reagan was President, and the person playing Ko-Ko, while singing "Little List" near the end threw in an aside of "...and Nancy, you know who!"  That got quite the laugh from the audience!
