We tend to plan vacations as a family wanting to explore not just a different place but a different culture. Have experienced Costa Rica and last year Eastern Europe. Mr. J and I have been throwing around visiting PR and Belize and after seeing that fun cultural halftime show has it got me wanting to go somewhere.

Been lurking here forever, but just came to add that the song that had all the women twerking? It's about women being able to go to clubs, dance however they want, and not be harassed. So kind of the opposite of objectifying and degrading women...

@AlexD1990 see you are in Lewes, DE. Mr. J and I took a trip back the end of September to DE as we had never been there. Stayed in a lovely AirBB just outside of Rehoboth Beach. We ventured up to Lewes. Visited the lovely museum in town. Had some Kickin’ Chicken in the beautiful park just behind it and then ventured down the streets to a secluded beach down by the Yacht club. Had a great time!

the song he was singing then--Yo Perreo Sola/I Twerk Alone--is literally about women having the freedom to dance without men hitting on them or slut-shaming them or assaulting them.

the irony is overwhelming.

Got woken up at 230am with a brutal migraine and ended up calling out of work (Thankfully non-operational shift). 
 

Is anyone else having headaches recently? I think the dryness is starting to crush my sinuses and hits at night. Might have to start back up a saline rinse regimine

And that's a big part of what made it so good! I didn't understand a word except mannana but I felt all the themes, and I felt the very soul of Puerto Rico throughout the entire performance. The music was better than I expected (not my usual cup of tea but I can objectively appreciate quality of music if when I hear it!)...and the entire production was fantastic!

That's too funny, I grew up up the street from the kicken chicken, and my family knows the owner quite well. Lewes is a truly beautiful town with a rich history that I never tire of telling visitors about(giant history nerd)

Sounds like you also found what we used to call the "secret beach" by Roosevelt Inlet. One of my favorite places to go and relax, wade in the Bay when there aren't too many jellyfish. Right now it's all frozen over, which is truly surreal. Last time i saw that was 2015, and before that my mom remembers it happening in the late 70s.

It sucks that we don't get as much snow as some, but i have truly loved my life living here, just wish i could afford an actual home down here. Being a resort area and the massive amount of transplants from the big cities, its nearly impossible. I truly hope the county government down here gets a thought in their collective heads to stop the reckless development, but I'm not holding my breath,.

I didn’t understand a word of anything he sang but it was entertaining and I enjoyed quite a bit. 
I mean it was better than Katy Perry’s dancing sharks
