Triangle folks it looks to be retreating pretty quickly. I think it’s about all she wrote. You Fuquay guys really did end up being the least in the state based on radar. I remember some of the hi res models having a literal hole in SW Wake or somewhere very close to it on many runs. Pretty incredible really. b731ff1f631d047efe4fbb8689871eec.gif

Whopper of a deformation band setting up from Jacksonville to Greenville in E NC right now as the low rapidly deepens with the trough going negatively tilt. Have to think 20"+ or perhaps even two feet is on the table for some.

Charlotte picked up 11.0” of snow yesterday. That tied December 29, 1880 for the fourth highest daily figure on record.

And many places all around Charlotte area recorded over a foot yesterday! All timer storm. Snowed champagne powder all day long, truly utah like snow just dumping for many hours.

Here is Jacksonville, I woke up to the windows at the house all half covered in an inch of snow from the wind blowing it so much during the night. Guess it's added insulation.

Any storm totals from Jacksonville?? It looks like it’s about to end there shortly. The radar last night looked like a good  clobbering from Jacksonville to New Bern. Interesting to see what they measure.

Friend in Morehead city just texted me he had to dig his AC unit out and it’s still ripping…

Ended up with 5" here in Franklinton. All fell in a 5 hour period last night.

Wild system. Up there with March 1980 for sure. That was probably the best analog 500mb wise, along with Christmas 2010. I feel like my totals did very well outside of Fayetteville.
