Been on many frozen lakes in the north county, and even crossing on a snowmobile, you can hear growling under you. Once you see an ice heave emerge you understand why. Spoooooky. Especially at night. Earthquake growls and yes you can feel them. This!! there were some nights at my grandparents place in Quebec it was hard to sleep.. the nights when it got to -20 or below the lake was LOUD!

weatherwiz
Going to enjoy what's left of winter and continue enjoying and admiring the scenery outside, but in another 4-5 weeks...I will be full on ready for warmer weather and looking for that first stretch of 60's. Yup, I’m still craving snow with the hopes of building on this pack before we truly warm and it becomes difficult to sustain it.

Time is starting to run thin though, especially with not much - if anything in the pipe line in terms of anything big except that mid-month period but there is disagreement on how legit it is. Obviously we can get snow and big storms into March but it becomes much more difficult to do (outside of NNE). But once we hit that time change...bring on the warmer weather.

On 2/3…. real thin, WTF?. That’s like saying the game is close to being over when 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter has gone by. Stop the BS already. Do we say summer/warmth is running thin on August 3rd? We don’t.
