Just wanted to reiterate how bad this map was.

.

EPAWA is usually spot on but when they put out this map I was like WTF are they thinking. I suppose round 2 could still beef up totals for their D and E zones but they severely underestimated the western extent of plowable snow.

I guess that’s what happens when you use ensembles within 12hrs of a storm

Another 2” on top of about 6” yesterday. The snow that’s falling now is very difficult for the radar to pick up, but it is steady. I am praying for a back build later on!

yep I have just about 3 inches today.  9 inches in  24 hours-  I will take.   I am not cleaning this stuff until I see what happens this evening- it maybe all for naught. Could have 12 inches by this evening from this two day storm event on the ground the way these storms are going.  Somone in the NE is going to get whacked with a norlun trough still.

I agree- way too conservative and Bobby has not the experience of storms like this. This sscenario happens only a few times in a decade.  In his next breath, he will now call this an overperformer- in whose eyes though?- not mine.  I called it for my township on the nose.

Interesting radar:

You can see where the new precipitation is developing in south Jersey in banding segments moving NE and also more developing over Delaware County right over my house and I can confirm snow is picking up in intensity and flakeage.

It's a shame we are JUST missing this coastal I-95 west.  See if we can eek out another 1-2" here in Central Delaware County Points South and east?

See if we can get the precipitation shield to expand westward and see if we can get a jet streak over head to enhance the snow.

Shovel of today's round 1 done - Latest HRRR with it's take on round 2 this PM. Not sure if we get that much back this far west.

Still some very light snow falling and a temp at 31.1 with the 2.0" this AM up to 6.5" in the last 2 days and 19.3" for the season to date. Can we get enough later to hit the 20" mark?image.thumb.png.4fb862d41a27a482fdc46dc8834a0b3b.png
