LVLion77
Another 2” on top of about 6” yesterday. The snow that’s falling now is very difficult for the radar to pick up, but it is steady. I am praying for a back build later on!.

EPAWA is usually spot on but when they put out this map I was like WTF are they thinking. I suppose round 2 could still beef up totals for their D and E zones but they severely underestimated the western extent of plowable snow.
The Iceman
Not much better than a Sunday morning snow walk. Round one tapering now, calling it at 2”. Pleasant over achiever again. We had heavy echoes from 7-9. I think we were close to the changeover line based on the flake size.

I am not cleaning this stuff until I see what happens this evening- it maybe all for naught. Could have 12 inches by this evening from this two day storm event on the ground the way these storms are going. Somone in the NE is going to get whacked with a norlun trough still.

I agree- way too conservative and Bobby has not the experience of storms like this. This sscenario happens only a few times in a decade. In his next breath, he will now call this an overperformer- in whose eyes though?- not mine. I called it for my township on the nose.

The Iceman
Judging by the HRRR looks like round 2 starts around 2 pm or 3 pm and goes until about 7? Game for that. Also looks like we’re probably going to at least flurry all day in between.

Kevin Reilly
32f humidity 99% dew point 32f Well, the white rain is no longer it has changed over to a light to moderate snow with big fatty flakes mixed in. White rain lasted about 20 minutes.
Kevin Reilly
Interesting radar: You can see where the new precipitation is developing in south Jersey in banding segments moving NE and also more developing over Delaware County right over my house and I can confirm snow is picking up in intensity and flakeage. It's a shame we are JUST missing this coastal I-95 west. See if we can eek out another 1-2" here in Central Delaware County Points South and east? See if we can get the precipitation shield to expand westward and see if we can get a jet streak over head to enhance the snow.

ChescoWx
Shovel of today's round 1 done - Latest HRRR with it's take on round 2 this PM. Not sure if we get that much back this far west. Still some very light snow falling and a temp at 31.1 with the 2.0" this AM up to 6.5" in the last 2 days and 19.3" for the season to date. Can we get enough later to hit the 20" mark?

Kevin Reilly
11 minutes ago, ChescoWx said: Looks about right I I think if you are looking at the current radar. Let's just see what pops but obviously the favored areas are Northeast towards the North Jersey coast that will be the best mix of cold air coming southeast meeting up with the storm scrapping the coast.
