EarlGrey Posted January 17 Share Posted January 17 I’m quietly hoping for a nice snowfall. Don’t really care about accumulations but something to look at out the window is nice. I keep seeing increasing amounts so while I won’t get my hopes up too much because I know how these things can go, I’m all in on something happening. It’s been cloudy here all day so while the temps are higher than what’s optimal, the ground shouldn’t be too warm so if a band sets up for an hour it’ll cool off fast. 8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kvegas-wx Posted January 17 Share Posted January 17 Sure does seem like the cold is bottled up in the ohio valley and is going to arrive late. Temps above forecast in NC today. We're going to lose almost all of the available QPF to rain at this point. Cold chasing moisture almost never works out here in central NC. So I'm struggling to see how it works out for our GA peeps. LOL i agree, but, it seems like, in addition to the exact right combination of moisture and cold, one pre-requisite of a good storm is there has to be one big dust-up in the forum, and someone get kicked off, or almost kicked off the board. olafminesaw Posted January 18 Share Posted January 18 Something to keep in mind Tommorow, there will likely be two pushes of moisture, one in the early morning and one early after noon with a dry slot in between.
