It’s a horrible idea, honestly, and no shade to you or whoever suggests it when it always comes up. This is a community to talk about the weather - hobbyists, meteorologists, weenies, everyone in between. If you don’t want to see someone’s opinions mute them, but we start deciding who is worthy of posting and splintering threads off… nobody will be happy.

Sorry. Reflecting on it now, my suggestion was probably too polarizing, and you’re right—it wouldn’t make people happy.

I don't hate the Eagles, but the Niners are tough to even be in the playoffs. They have a great coach, and the reason I want Klint Kubiak as coach of the Ravens is because he is from the Shanahan tree, plus he became the OC under Mike Macdonald, who the ravens should have made HC instead of letting him walk. Plus he made Sam Darnold look really good and less mistake prone, which is a major accomplishment lol.

Lifelong birds fan here and that outcome was entirely predictable. Game was a summary of their season. Their good defense gives the offense ample opportunities to win, and the (highest paid as a share of salary cap) offense in the league can't execute. Pathetic!

Yeah. I mean a learning curve was to be expected and continuity in a coordinator can be important but would bet an awful lot that he is not here next year.

What I’m currently having trouble understanding is if you read what I actually said. I said clearly in that reply that there’s absolutely a place for all that and that the current thread should not go away. I just think it would be nice to have a separate thread just with the pros  so people can have the option to get less biased analytical breakdowns. 
 

I’d never suggest shutting down anyone’s voices in here. Seeing all the weather enthusiasts come together is a great thing. I apologize if my opinion came across like I was wanting to shut certain people up in here. I guess it just gets exhausting coming into the analysis thread to see it be overwhelmed by emotional reactions a lot of the time. I will take your advice and just start muting the accounts that tend to clog it up the most with that stuff.

I responded more aggressively than I wanted to but I think if you split the discussion into “pros” and “average joes” the discussion for the average joes will inevitably dry up. It doesn’t offer folks a chance to learn and improve. The mods would have to somehow decide how the “trusted non-Mets” can be verified.
 

I don’t think it would work out and would be disappointed if it was implemented. Think giving folks flairs for being a meteorologist accomplishes what we need as far as filtering to our best and brightest.

Yes and no. 

I mean winning it all last year kinda takes the sting off so if there is any silver lining. 

This team has become so predictable since Patullo became the OC. Not to mention the Eagles beating themselves week after week. Penalties, dropped balls, bad calls, missed kicks.  All that firepower and such bad execution. Defense is what kept them in games. 

 

Every week it's been "hold your breath for 60 minutes and hope for the best". I'm not happy they lost but even Ray Charles could see it coming.

You make very good points and I do take back my stance on that. At the end of the day, if I’m overwhelmed by the emotion, I have the option to not partake, or just mute certain accounts. I appreciate the discussion!
