I have no idea how much snow you have, but  shortly after my observation of  bamboo snapping hardwoods and coniferous trees started dropping limbs.I heard some heavy limb falls On, my walk and they've only been increasing in frequency while i've been out shoveling.

Here's my climate summary for yesterday, Feb 22, 2026 in Carlisle...(sorry it's a tad long, but I needed to do something to make up for the miserable snowfall)...

At midnight the temperature had finally dropped to 32.0 degrees.  Finally!  During the hour between 11 and midnight the light snow picked up a bit in intensity such that an additional 0.2" of snow was recorded.  At midnight it was still snowing lightly.  This brings the daily total and storm total thus far to 1.8".  This morning 0.1" of snow was recorded before noon.  During that time the snow was melting as it hit the board.  In addition, light rain also fell, occasionally mixed with a few wet flakes.  The qpf from the morning precipitation was 0.14".  For the afternoon the temperature slowly continued to climb, reaching a high of 36.5 degrees around 3:00pm.  Roughly 90 minutes later the temperature dropped to 32.9 degrees and pure snow resumed, primarily light but hard enough to start whitening the ground.  By 6:00pm 0.3" of new snow was recorded.  The snow then picked up in intensity rapidly, becoming heavy for nearly the entire hour between 6:00 and 7:00.  1.0" of new snow was recorded.  The temperature during the entire hour was 32.4 degrees.  After that the snow diminished in intensity and then remained light for the remainder of the evening.  At 8:00pm an additional 0.2" of snow was measured.  Then, for the next 3 hours snow remained light but no new snow was recorded.  During the afternoon and prior to the snow beginning to accumulate again, another 0.16" of qpf was measured bringing the storm qpf total to 0.30".  At midnight the 1.7" of snow melted down to 0.32" of liquid, bringing the total daily qpf to 0.62".  Finally, the SLR from the 1.7" of snow producing 0.32" of liquid was an abysmal 0.53 : 1.

I'm went over 4" close to midnight. Light to moderate snow here still. My prediction was 4". Maybe I can squeeze out a bit more. I'm guess I'll end up with 5"-6". Which the euro had been spitting out here for a number of days. Still not a lick of wind. That is surprising

I had maybe 3 inchs on the grass and a very sloppy inch and a half on the road and sidewalks on the way out. it was laying pretty good on the way back but didnt bother to measure
