18 degrees this morning, was ll degrees when I went to bed last night.

Dusting but it seems mostly on cars, road isn’t covered at all.

Happy New Year all! I don’t know what happened but I guess something did since I was off posting for a long time now feeling grateful. I have known @Bubbler86since the Marcus days and maybe before AOL? We only know each other from these forums. I 100% respect him and don’t want to know want happened. That said I 100% respect training and appreciate his postings with others whom post with this hobby. That is what it is a hobby for most of us. We can always agree to disagree, now back to the weather.

As I had mentioned yesterday some models were hinting at some snow showers overnight and we did indeed see some overnight which as many have mentioned recoated drives across the area. Here in East Nantmeal we picked up 0.3" of snow. We continue with well below normal temperatures through Monday but then see a nice warmup with temperatures trending well above normal for much of next week. Overall the next week or so looks dry with maybe a snow shower chance Saturday night.

Usually trough in Europe & trough near Japan corresponds with a trough in the eastern US, but there is usually a brief lag.

Very boring weather in thr first 3 weeks of January it looks like to me. We need a wind break for sure, though. 

50s seem very possible next week to kick off the Farm Show.

Maybe the first 10 days or so are boring with a brief warm up for around 5 days.

My annual tradition of noting tomorrow is Perihelion day - the Earth is closest to the sun officially at 12:15 EST.  And as a double bonus, tomorrow is also a supermoon (full moon while the moon is at or near perigee).  This combo won't happen again until 2045.  So when that time rolls around, be sure to tell your kids (or grandkids, or great-grandkids, or anyone who will listen) that you were there in 2026 and it was a rollicking event.
